The Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry is partnering with the City of Bellingham and Whatcom County to help restore and protect Puget Sound. This Local Source Control Partnership will be working with local businesses that use or generate small amounts of hazardous waste materials harmful to storm and surface waters. The program provides free of charge educational and technical assistance to owners and managers of companies that want to help the environment.
This is not a regulatory inspection. A visit by the Local Source Control Partnership will help inform you of any possible ways you can prevent pollutants from entering storm and waste water. Chamber members who participate in this voluntary educational endeavor will be listed on the Chamber’s website under a special section regarding the source control partnership. Show your customers that you’re doing all you can to help reduce pollution in Puget Sound.
