Monthly session days are a full day commitment. Session days may require you to arrange your work schedule and/or secure support from your employer to participate during the business hours.

TUITION

LW Program Tuition for each participant is $775. Participants may choose to obtain sponsors who recognize the benefits of leadership development to help cover the tuition. Potential sponsors could include participant’s employer or professional, civic, or faith groups. To ensure the full buy-in of all participants, individuals are required to personally pay $100 of the program tuition, regardless of employer or sponsor contributions. After acceptance into the program, tuition is payable in full by Friday, September 23, 2011. In extenuating circumstances, alternate payment schedules and tuition assistance are available. Financial need and payment arrangements will not be a factor in the selection process. Please contact the Program Coordinator for details on program payment plans and tuition assistance.

PERSONAL COMMITMENT FORM

TIME: I understand that the Leadership Whatcom program is comprised of a two-day Orientation Session in September, followed by monthly day-long and evening session, and the culminating June session and graduation celebration. In addition, work with my project team will require time outside of these session days but can be set on your own schedule.

I agree to attend ALL sessions. I understand that in order to complete the program, I must participate in all sessions, and that any participant missing more than 30 minutes of any session may be asked to withdraw from the program and that no portion of the tuition shall be refunded. Leadership Whatcom recognizes that emergencies do arise and is willing to accommodate some special circumstances.

TUITION: Tuition for Leadership Whatcom is $775, and payment in full is due before Friday, September 23, 2011.

COMMITMENT: I understand the purpose and scope of the Leadership Whatcom program. If I am selected, I will participate fully and devote the time and resources necessary to complete this program, including class time, out-of-class time, and tuition. I understand that the intent is to increase my own leadership capacity and support the learning of other participants while exploring leadership skills and the issues affecting Whatcom County.
